Here are some of the students diligently working through their study material:

AFMIN MAKES A DIFFERENCE IN MOMBASA!

Matthew 5:13-16
13 "Let me tell you why you are here. You're here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavors of this earth. If you lose your saltiness, how will people taste godliness? You've lost your usefulness and will end up in the garbage.
14 "Here's another way to put it: You're here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We're going public with this, as public as a city on a hill.
15 If I make you light-bearers, you don't think I'm going to hide you under a bucket (spirit of criticism), do you? I'm putting you on a light stand.
16 Now that I've put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand--shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you'll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.

With this Message we entered Mombasa for the first time on the 30th July 2008. Having already been in Nairobi, Nakuru and Kisumu, we were not at all impressed with what we saw in Mombasa. The streets were filthy and filled with rubbish. The atmosphere was heavy with the spirit of Islam. Although the Christian leaders assured us that the Church in Mombasa is praying for an open heaven, we knew that more had to be done to open the heavens over Mombasa. It was then that we taught the Church leaders: Our life and Our Work, IS OUR MINISTRY!

We challenged them that every work and every assignment in the Kingdom IS MINISTRY unto the Lord. Ministry is not only what we experience in the church building!!! Everything We Do Serves the King and His Kingdom! Therefore We taught them:

1. They are not Christians but sons, ambassadors and citizens of the Kingdom of God. The world is full of Christians but: “For the earnest expectation of the creation waits for the manifestation of the sons of God.” Rom 8:19 MKJV
2. They are carrying His presence wherever they go, and it will transform them and many around them.
3. They walk in His nature, His love, and His purposes and eventually they will establish the kingdom of God upon the earth in Mombasa.
4. Joh 1:14 The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, Generous inside and out, true from start to finish.
5. Go out and walk into the neighborhood again. Establish the principals of the Kingdom of God. Peace, Righteousness and Joy.
6. Christ in me is the hope of Glory!

Rev 11:15
15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying; The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

We want to establish the Kingdom of God upon the earth here in Mombasa. Our purpose is to take His ruler-ship into every sector of life. God gave us this mandate and through AFMIN teachings we achieved the following:

1. We build kingdom values and kingdom teachings into each leader and at the end of every AFMIN On10 school we send them out into all spheres of life in Mombasa.
2. Mothers became full-time ministers to their husbands and children. Even if they never work outside of their home, they have an important ministry.
3. To understand that they have a key ministry in the community as they build generationally through their children and impart to others that are seeking truth.
4. To understand that this is truly the “day of the saints”, as we all carry His presence into the marketplace of the next great harvest of souls for His kingdom.
5. We as sons of God carry His Presence Wherever We Go! What an honor and joy it is to know that we bring His glory into every jurisdiction, situation and application in life.

After almost three and a half years we can see the difference. The streets of Mombasa are becoming cleaner by the day. The restaurants and hotels are flooded with born-again children of God working as waitresses and cleaners. A Christian church has just completed a 30000 seater church building. After a few months this building has become too small! In the center of an Islam stronghold the glory of God has broken through. We can honestly say: Arise shine Mombasa, for your light has come!
